Censored Epidemic: A Hidden Holocaust
The top cause of death in our country today
Not heart disease, or something else W.H.O. may say
It’s tragic that few in our world know the fact
[It’s censored], the commonmost violent act
*
The deathtoll throughout the whole world every day
Will never be seen in the news, nope, no way
The scope of [it’s censored] is HUGE I profess
Before I reveal, why don’t you take a guess
*
[It’s censored] kills daily a hundred and twenty
Now add three more zeros, yes, so very many (1)
And this does not count unseen victims that die
Through hormonal drugs found in ready supply (2)
*
But what about stats in the U.S. of A.
[It’s censored] snuffs thousands of lives every day
A holocaust hidden from cam’ras and news
The fruit of the lust those same cam’ras enthuse
*
Christ calls us to speak up for those with no voice
To challenge with prudence and love the “pro-choice”
Do we understand that this “choice”, it destroys
With violence and blood, little girls, little boys
*
The tools “doctors” use would make anyone shudder
Blades cutting, dismemb’ring; small hearts stop their flutter
And whether they feel it or not, does it matter?
God’s children are murdered; our hearts, do they shatter?
*
Besides these small victims, their fathers and mothers
Are victims as well! For their love this choice smothers
Through couns’ling and prayer, Jesus heals their raw pain
Forgives all who ask Him, and wipes out their shame
*
[It’s censored], “The greatest destroyer of peace”
Says Mother Teresa! But when will it cease?
Just what can abolish this heinous, child-killing
Which lines greedy pockets with many a schilling
*
Lord, how can we help the unborn in their plight
Evangelization is key in the fight
Without knowing Christ and his love, joy, and peace
Society molds us and [censored]s increase
*
“But won’t contraception reduce this sad killing?”
No; studies have shown that it makes folks more willing
For condoms and pills can throw gas on the flame
Encouraging unmarried sex without shame
*
Because it’s so easy to get contraception
Adultery spikes, then divorce and deception
Next, poverty follows, more fatherless youth
Demand for [it’s censored] then grows, that’s the truth!
*
[It’s censored] is sought e’en by folks “on the fence”
When birth control fails, [censored] seems to make sense
This “choice” is made often with pressure from men
Who use and abuse… and then pressure again
*
The teachings of Christ which His Church is proclaiming
Are antidotes sure to this too-frequent maiming
Pope Paul’s famous document,“Of Human Life”(3)
Unmasks many lies, changes minds, halts the knife
*
Saint Mother Teresa was never afraid
To speak up for life, her conviction conveyed
She challenges us, as does many-a pope
To pray before Christ in the Eucharist- our Hope
*
The cure for [it’s censored] is penance and prayer
In visits to Christ in the Host, which is where
His Beating Heart waits for us; always He’s there
Such visits, and Masses, melt hearts that don’t care
*
We mustn’t neglect heartfelt prayer to our Mary
The Patroness of the unborn mothers carry
Our heavenly Queen’s intercession we plead
Her pray’rs vanquish Satan who strives to mislead
*
But pray’r must not ever become an excuse
To loaf in the comforts of home, which seduce
Our hands, voices, voting must protest this killing
“The least of [Christ’s] brethren” cry out! Are we willing?
*
So let’s start up groups at our churches and schools
To educate folks (who may think we are fools)
To pray and speak lovingly at [censored] centers
Remembering always… it’s Jesus who enters
