Suffer with Jesus

Dancing and singing
Tennis, skating, daily mass
These brought her much joy

This girl was in love
Jesus was her beloved
She called Him “my spouse”

She was seventeen
A beautiful, active soul
Then they found cancer

Often she’d tell Christ
“If you want it… so do I”
She gave Him her pain
*
Cancer stole her locks
Each she gave: “For You, Jesus!”
She saved souls this way

Augustine’s maxim
Yes! “Love makes us beautiful”

When asked from whence came
The light in her eyes, she said
An enlight’ning thing

Please ponder it well
