on all the sick and poor
Provide for all your children
in famine and in war

Protect all who are threatened
especially the unborn
And Christians who are targets
of violence, hate, and scorn

Pour out Your mercy through me
on all who feel despair
May all my thoughts and actions
flow from our love affair

Have mercy on all people
both enemy and friend
Please lead all souls to heaven
to praise you without end

(Pope Francis declared that the period from the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (December 8), 2015 to the Feast of Christ the King (November 20), 2016 as the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.
