If It Rains, I Choose Rain

,
Church in Spain

If Heaven lets it rain, I choose rain
‘mongst the nimbus sobbing tears
I smile at God…
Who clears the mist of fears
In me, to reign!

If the Son allows the clouds, I choose clouds
When they scowl overcast
I smile at Him…
Who calls me Home at last
Beyond the clouds

If the Almighty wills the thunder, I choose thunder
‘midst the sprinting bolts above
I smile at God…
Who whispers back His love
Through cracks of wonder

If the Savior lets it snow, I choose snow
As the flakes around me zoom
I smile at Him…
Who smiles at me, this Friend from Whom
All blessings snow
